Trail runs in the Allgaeu Region

A very scenic and partly technical trail running route with refreshments available at the Landsberger Hütte as well as sections with rope safety and a scree field.

The technically quite easy running route describes a route close to the river from its source in the Allgäu to the city center of Augsburg (Swabia), where the Wertach flows into the Lech.

From the Bannwaldsee lake near Füssen, you head up towards the Große Klammspitze and over the entire summit chain to Oberammergau. Skyrunning included - a real dream tour.

From Warth, the route takes you along scenic trails to the southernmost point in Germany - either around the Haldenwanger Eck or up and back down to Warth!

Anyone looking for decent trail running routes in the Allgäu might like to consider this loop at the back of the village of Imberg. Accessible throughout (most of) the year, it takes you through forests, along a mountain stream, and up to and around meadows and marshes of Strausberg with glorious mountain views assured.

Stretch those muscles, crank up the tunes, and go with the flow on this trail run that has its literal ups and downs, lots of forests, and some pretty lush panoramas.

A fun run in Rohrmoos' back of beyond that takes in the summit of the Piesenkopf (1,630 m) and some superb views over both the Nagelfluhkette and Hoher Ifen - weather permitting.

The trail runs from the Hornstuben inn via the Gschwender Horn, Immenstauml;dter Horn, Hochkanzel and via the hollow path back to the starting point.

The Walser Trail is part of the Walser Trail Challenge. The length of the route is approx. 28 km and 1700 m ascent and runs from Baad to Hirschegg.
