Offroad-Fahrten in Essex

Some really excellent Green lanes with nothing too difficult. The Essex part of the route is superb - lots of long picturesque Green Lanes. Short Cottered Green Lane not always open.Miss out the bottom loop if you want to shorten it - a Buntingford start/end would be ideal.

Fairly gentle ride from chelmsford through to Dunmow, incorporating Millers Ford and Dunmow Ford. Various seasonal lane closures usually in effect from Nov - Mar

Brentwood Lanes, some can get a bit tricky in winter. The one by the golf course gets very rutted, but can be bypassed easily if you don't fancy it

can do solo for sure, not too taxing. coppy wood is very scratchy so beware

Small Green Lane for Off Roading, not to scratchy! Pretty easy!

This is a long run used weekly has a bit of everything

We operate one day during the week - usually Wednesdays, but we now pick the best looking day weather wise - Saturdays and Sundays from Ridgewell Airfield on days during the summer months whenever the weather is good enough to fly. A short flight is a highly memorable experience as you are launched high into the sky to fly silently over the Suffolk countryside. This is a green road route and not an off-road route as Outdooractive state. Off-roading is illegal, in the UK, unless with the permission of the owner which is rarely given unless for money. All of the roads in this route are on public roads, either on a byway, UCR (unclassified road), A, B or C road and hence are not off-road in anyway or form. Hence this route is for recreational driving using a 4x4 car on a legal public highway.
